Bahraini authorities obtained prisoners' text messages through interception program which is produced by Nokia Company.
Bahraini jailers tortured protesters with rubber hoses and prisoners' text messages from their personal mobile phone. But the question is “How did they know about these?” Bahraini officers have obtained messages through the interception program, says Ahmed Aldoseri, director of information and communications technologies at Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. “If they have a transcript of an SMS message, it’s because the security organ was monitoring the user at their monitoring center”, he added, Bloomberg reported.
The spy gear maintained by Siemens Nokia networks in Bahrain clarifies the destructive role of Western companies in the Middle East revolutionary movements. They sell monitoring technology as the newest artillery to many countries. It became a dangerous weapon in the hands of dictator regimes to suppress peaceful movements and torture arrested demonstrators.
