PRC Leader killed in Israeli Air Strikes in Gaza
The leader of Palestine's Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) has been killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza on Thursday.
According to Palestinian medical sources, six people were killed in Israeli air raids in the southern city of Rafah on the Egyptian border, including the head of PRC,Kamal Al Nairab. The group's military chief, Immad Hammad, had also been killed, reports said. A nine-year-old Palestinian boy was among those killed in Israeli air strikes.
The attack came as retaliation to the killing of seven Israelis in the deadly cross-border attacks in southern Israel earlier the day.
Although the identities of the atacjers have not been made clear, Israeli officials claimed the attackers were from Gaza.“We have specific and concrete infothat these terrorists who killed Israelis today came from the Gaza Strip,” the AFP quoted the premier’s spokesman Mark Regev.
