Israeli Forces Attack Weekly Anti-Barrier Protests
Israeli soldiers attacked anti-wall protestors in the West Bank including Palestinians and international activists.
Several demonstrators were arrested during the anti-barrier rally in the village of Walaja and many others being subjected to tear gas inhalation and sound bombs. Palestinian and International activists gathered at the village to protest the destruction of olive trees for the construction of the wall, which the International Court of Justice declared illegal in 2004, International Middle East Media Centre reported.
The controversial wall separates the West bank from the rest of the occupied lands. Palestinians held weekly protest and Israeli troops block their path and fire tear gas to disperse protesters. More sadly Palestinian farmers who forcefully have left their ancestral lands have to get permission from Israel to farm and these permits often are rejected.
According to the Press TV, Israel began constructing separation wall in the year 2000 and it is strongly determined to continue the process in the West Bank although the International Court of Justice says the wall is illegal and should be pulled down.
