Sharon Stone 'Accused of Racism and Sued Over Labour Abuses
Sharon Stone 'accused of racism and sued over labour abuses by former nanny'

Sharon Stone is being taken to court by a former employee who is accusing her of making derogatory comments about her ethnicity.
Erlinda Elemen, who is a Filipino, has filed a lawsuit against the 54-year-old citing these allegations, and accusing the Basic Instinct star of labour violations.
Sued: Sharon Stone has been accused of making derogatory comments about her Filipino nanny
Elemen claims she began working for Stone as an back-up nanny to take care of one of the actresses' three sons, Roan, Laird and Quinn, then was promoted to head nanny in 2008.
She added that she moved into Stone's house in 2008 and began travelling with the actress and the children until she was terminated in 2011, according to RadarOnline.
They write that in the lawsuit, Elemen alleges that Stone made disparaging comments about her accent and told the nanny not to talk to her children because she didn't want them to 'talk like' her.

She also alleges that Stone said Filipeno people are 'stupid' and refused to let her have a bible in the house.
Events came to a crescendo when Stone accused Elemen of 'stealing' for getting overtime pay and demanded that Elemen pay her back.
This was despite the fact, Elemen alleges, that she worked seven days a week.
Elemen's hours and pay were allegedly reduced after the overtime incident and the nanny claims she was fired for no reason in 2011.
Elemen's lawyer, Solomon Gresen said in a statement: 'Because abuses in overtime pay are common for household employees it seems ironic that Ms. Stone initially did the right thing and paid Mrs. Elemen overtime wages and then terminated her for accepting those same wages.'
It's official: Sharon is named on the lawsuit, dated May 23 2012
Scandal: The lawsuit claims the reason for discrimination was 'religion, race/colour' and 'national origin/ancestry'
On February 16, 2011, Elemen filed a complaint with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, alleging among other things, harassment, failure to prevent harassment and retaliation.
The suit seeks unspecified damages, according to Radar. Sharon's spokesperson Paul Bloch released this statement: 'This is an absurd lawsuit that has been filed by a disgruntled ex-employee who is obviously looking to get money any way she can.
