Libyan Freedom Fighters Claim Victory by End of the August
Libya anti-government fighters see victory by the end of August, claiming the six-month-old civil war is on the verge of entering the "decisive phase".
Fresh opposition fighters pushed further to detach Tripoli from western town of al-Heisha. Al-Heisha links the capital and oil-rich Sirte – which is Gaddafi's hometown and a stronghold for his military. Mansur Saif al-Nasr, the National Transitional Council's envoy to Paris, said Tuesday that the fighters control Zawiyah, a vital oil port just west of Tripoli that links the capital with Tunisia; "We are entering a decisive phase. We hope to celebrate the final victory at the same time as the end of (the Muslims' holy month of) Ramadan" at the end of August, Press TV reported.
While many Libyan civilians have been killed in conflicts between revolutionary forces and Qaddafi's supporters, NATO adds to the causalities by bombing houses and killing families and children in Libya. NATO's airstrikes also targeted vital facilities including water pipelines in the country. According to the some experts, the main motive behind the Western attack on Libya is the rich oil reserves of the North African country.
Libya is grappled with civil war and nobody knows who will save it from its western saviors who are greedy for oil of Libya.
