Bahrainis Protest against National Dialogue Results

Tens of thousands of Bahraini protesters have staged demonstrations outside the country's capital, Manama, rejecting the results of the so-called national dialogues.

The demonstrators who believed the national dialogue was only a show and that the country's rulers failed to make real changes shouted "We want freedom" and waved flags and banners that read "No to dialogue", Al Jazeera reported.

On Thursday, the rulers of the Persian Gulf kingdom approved parliamentary changes that were "submitted by a state-appointed body dialogue commission".

In a televised speech aired on Thursday, King Hamad said the process "reflects the determination [of the participants] to rise above the latest incidents."

"We have ordered the executive and legislative authorities to take the necessary measures to approve the agreements," he added.

The regime's helicopters kept flying overhead protesters who were marching along Budaiya highway on Friday. Shouts of "Down, down, Hamad" was reportedly heard in the march which was entitled "The people are the source of authority".
